Information we collect

The Mailchimp contact form may collect your name, email address, subject, message, and submission details. The newsletter form collects your first name, email address, consent choice, consent-language version, submission source, submission time, and delivery status. Journal comments collect the name you choose to display, your email address, your comment, the related article, and the submission time.

The website and its hosting providers may also process basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs. Built-in site analytics may provide aggregate visitor and page-view counts.

How we use it

• Contact-form information is used to read and respond to your message.
• Newsletter information is used to send the free Weekly Garden Check-In and occasional Boonville Grown garden emails.
• Comment information is used to publish and protect the article discussion. Your displayed name and comment are public; your email address is kept private and used only for comment administration and abuse prevention.
• Technical and submission details may be used to deliver the site, measure aggregate use, prevent spam, diagnose problems, protect the site, and maintain accurate consent records.

Sending a contact message does not subscribe you to marketing email unless you separately select the newsletter option on the contact form. Newsletter consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Service providers and sharing

Contact messages are processed through Mailchimp and may be delivered to the Boonville Grown Gmail inbox. Newsletter signups are sent to Mailchimp, and consent records and article comments are stored with the website’s hosting service. These providers process information to supply hosting, email, contact-form, commenting, security, analytics, and related operational services.

Boonville Grown does not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transfer. Retention and your choices

We keep form records only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain consent and suppression records, operate the newsletter, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the site. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing email but may require retaining a limited suppression record so the address is not added again accidentally.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with you by emailing boonvillegrown@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request and may retain information when required or permitted by law.

Children and external links

The Journal is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Please do not submit personal information for a child under 13. The site may link to independent websites whose privacy practices are their own.

Policy updates

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the site after a revision means the revised policy applies to later activity.
